With the Stuart Hall football season coming to an end, the NCS championship between the Knights and Branson Bulls will play out on Saturday at Boxer Stadium. Stuart Hall goes into this game undefeated thanks to a strong defense and an electric offense. In addition the Knights have an abundance of depth even sporting their backups during games because they were winning by such a comfortable margin. However, this upcoming match is not going to be a walk in the park as they are facing another exceptional team. Branson is currently on a three game winning streak, may not be as good as the knights, but it’s nothing to scoff at. Branson is led by play caller Tom Lardner, who also plays on the defensive side of the ball, and wide receiver Spencer Weinberg. Stuart Hall is also led by some star studded players such as Quarterback Rhett Sypult, Wide Receiver Max Oenning, and big O-Lineman Henry Dixon.
When asked about the game Junior Wide Receiver Antonio Ruby said “I’m looking forward to it and I want to show that we’re the best team in the league”. Antonio’s enthusiastic attitude toward the team is what led him and other players to make meaningful contributions that have helped the team.
“We’re going to run it back like last time” is what O-Line man Henry Dixon had to say about how he’s feeling about the game. This is referring to the time Stuart Hall narrowly beat Branson 40-34 the last time the two teams faced off.
To conclude, this is going to be a close match between two strong teams with the Knights being undefeated and Branson being 7-2 and boxer stadium.
