the round table's first meeting back in 2005
the round table has a unique history. It was founded at the end of the 2003-2004 school year by three freshman, a junior, and an outgoing member of the English department to replace the struggling "Knightly News." Since that time, the round table has defied the status quo for school newspapers. Our very founding illustrates our style of leadership: anyone willing to work to implement a cool new idea can head up the program. In September of the paper's first full year, a freshman proposed the Ads for Charity program, in which advertising revenue from local shops is donated to a different charity each month. That is now the round table's way of living up to the third goal of a Sacred Heart education: a social awareness which impels to action. We try to continue this legacy in our work every day.
the round table is an important part of Stuart Hall. Through our cooperation with other clubs and classes, including "The Legend" (SHHS's yearbook), nearly a third of the school's student body has -- at some point -- been involved with creating a part of our newspaper. We look forward to even more growth and success in the coming years!
Take a minute to look around; we think you will enjoy what we've created.
Happy reading,
