Earlier this month during community time, Convent & Stuart Hall partnered with the Italian Consulate to host Italian singer-songwriter Teo Bok. Born in Milan, Italy, Bok grew up infatuated with music and quickly became known for his musical talent. By the age of 9, he could already be seen starring in hit musicals like The Lion King and Peter Pan. He was even featured for his singing ability in popular shows like Italy’s Got Talent and The Voice Kids.
In 2019, Teo began his career as an international artist, releasing his first album, Cruisin’. Since then, his music has featured lyrics in Italian, English and German, reaching far across the globe. In 2020, he and his family moved to Miami, where he still lives today, creating more music to reach listeners around the world.
Today, Teo is on a U.S. tour titled “The Power of Music and Education Tour 2025.” For 40 days, starting on Sept. 22, Bok will visit more than 30 high schools, colleges and other academic institutes across the nation, hoping to share Italian music and culture with students. One of his first stops was in San Francisco, where he visited Lowell High School, Sacred Heart, Sts. Peter and Paul Elementary, and, of course, Convent & Stuart Hall.
His show included a live performance, where he sang his most popular songs and shared his life story. Eleventh grader Adam Elsakkar praised Bok: “Watching Teo Bok perform on stage was so inspiring. He makes me want to pursue my musical passion.” As observed in Adam’s reaction to the show, Teo Bok certainly accomplished his main goal of sharing the joy of music and inspiring students. His performance also aimed to share the rich culture of his home country, Italy.
His tour is sponsored by Italian consulates around the country, including the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco, located just across the street from the Broadway campus. Together, Bok and Italian ambassadors are able to bring authentic Italian art straight to America’s youth.
Teo Bok’s performance was most certainly a hit among Convent & Stuart Hall students. “You could really tell he believes in what he’s saying,” said eleventh grader Rohan Chawla. “It wasn’t just about the music—it was about connecting with people.”
The conclusion of each of his songs was met with huge applause and screaming from his new fans at Convent & Stuart Hall. The heartfelt stories he shared left students touched and inspired by his deep passion for music. As Teo Bok continues his visits to schools across the nation, he is sure to leave the same lasting impression on America’s youth, as seen right here at Convent & Stuart Hall.
