This week, Mr. Farrell addressed some ongoing issues with the lunch lines and the impact of the new 45-minute lunch period. He suggests that if you’re heading to lunch from Broadway, it’s better to go to Octavia instead. This way, you can avoid the long wait and still have time to eat.
However, the lunch line at Broadway continues to be a point of stress for many students,
“I only had about five minutes to eat with my friends before we had to head back to class,” said junior Lloyd Duskin. “I definitely preferred the old schedule where we had more time to relax during lunch – especially when it stretches beyond 10 minutes. Today, the line moved relatively quickly—taking about 5 minutes from the alley to full service—but the pressure of the short lunch break remains.”
With the recent schedule changes, including PA, Flex, Resource, and Chapel/Advisory, time management has become more difficult. Mr. Farrell acknowledges these challenges and is looking for ways to improve the process, urging students to provide feedback.
He also reminded everyone to treat all staff with respect as we work through these adjustments together. If you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to share them.
