This past weekend has seen one of the most iconic traditions in Convent and Stuart Hall history commence, Christmas of Broadway. From 10 am to 9 pm, families could browse the marketplace while the kids had opportunities to make gingerbread houses, meet with Santa, make cookies, and best of all a cocktail party for the parents. However, this magically festive event couldn’t have happened without the fundraising, volunteering, and passion of the Convent and Stuart Hall parents. This event is tasked with the clear goal of building a more vibrant and thriving community not just for the school itself, but for everybody who’s involved in the school.
Many people, students and staff alike, have favorable views on this long-lasting tradition that brings joy to the kids and builds a strong bond between the parents and school members. “There truly is nothing like Christmas on Broadway! Gathering as a community for this wonderful event was such a joy”, is what the Sacred Heart San Francisco Instagram page had to say about it.
In addition, students who haven’t been at the school for long are already aware of the tradition and the immense value it holds in the hearts of people. “Even though I’ve never gone, I’ve heard from people that it’s a fun time and obviously it’s pretty nice since it’s at the Broadway campus. It’s also one of the school events that seem genuinely interesting and fun,” says Junior Leo Mercado.
In conclusion, Christmas on Broadway is one of Convent and Stuart Hall’s long-lasting traditions that is greatly appreciated by many students and teachers and fosters a sense of community in the holidays. Furthermore, it’s a great way for kids to make festive memories and parents to actively participate in school events such as fundraising.
