With the Wild Card games coming to an end, the Divisional round approaches. On Saturday, ESPN will host the Houston Texans vs the Kansas City Chiefs game, and FOX will host the Washington Commanders vs the Detroit Lions game. Sunday, NBC hosts the Rams vs the Eagles, and followed by CBS hosting the game of the week, Buffalo vs Baltimore.
Four amazing games, with very much an “anything can happen” aspect. For the first game, Texans vs Chiefs, the injury-riddled Texans are going to have a hard time trying to beat the defending, back to back Super Bowl winners, and current Super Bowl favorites, the Chiefs. However, if Joe Mixon helps the Texans settle in with a good run game, and CJ Stroud continues to deliver in clutch moments, I don’t see why the Texans can’t upset the Chiefs.
The next game – Commanders vs Lions – is going to be such a great game. An incredibly young and talented Washington team, led by rookie Jaden Daniels, have had an extremely successful season. On the other hand, the Detroit Lions are the clear favorite to win this game, and it’s fairly obvious why. With David Montgomery coming back into the lineup, the Sonic and Knuckles combo is back. Jammir Gibbs (Sonic), has had a career high year and has no signs of slowing down after a three touchdown performance last game.
Sunday’s first game – Rams vs Philly – is also fairly interesting. Philly’s passing offense has struggled for a couple weeks now, and has been bailed out by the run game over and over again. The Rams looked dangerous against the Vikings, and with Stafford’s playoff experience, I don’t see why the Rams can’t take this one. And I honestly see the Rams winning this game.
The game of the week definitely is the Baltimore Ravens vs the Buffalo Bills. With the Bills playing at home, I predict that they will win. However, Baltimore dismantled and humiliated the Bills earlier this season; winning 34-10. Although, I do see MVP frontrunner – Josh Allen – having an MVP type game going for over 300 yards and at least two touchdowns.
My final predictions: Chiefs to beat the Texans, Detroit to beat the Commanders, Rams to beat the Eagles, and Buffalo to beat the Ravens. Although some may not agree with my predictions, I honestly feel like these are the best picks.
Junior Nico Rivera says: “The Rams are not beating the Eagles, that pick is obnoxious.” I guess we will have to wait and see. However these games end, we are sure in for a treat in the Conference Championships.
