The Hall football team capped off its inaugural 11-man season with a 32-0 win over Woodside Priory on Saturday, Nov. 22, winning the Division I NCS championship. The school had appeared in the NCS championship game for the past five years but had yet to win it until this year.
From the kickoff to the final whistle, Hall’s dominance was obvious. Its defense locked down Priory all day, and the offense delivered when needed, getting key first downs and scoring.
Championship recap:
The offense scored two passing touchdowns from Napoleon Cabading to Jake Oenning and rushing touchdowns by Cabading and Maxon Craig. Defensively, Priory threw two interceptions, and a scoop-and-score touchdown followed a sack.
Season in review:
Over the course of the season, the Knights outscored their opponents by a remarkable margin, finishing with a total point differential of 561-36. The season featured eight shutouts. The previous program high for shutouts was two in 2021, according to MaxPreps.
For the seniors, the underclassmen and every player who poured blood and sweat into this season, this is theirs. And for future Hall teams, this is the standard.
