Things you can do to help protect yourself

  • Avoid close contact with people who appear sick.
  • Avoid touching commonly used surfaces such as tables and doorknobs as much as you can, and disinfect them frequently.
  • Always cover your cough or sneeze, using a tissue if possible.
  • Avoid touching face, eyes or mouth.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water, especially after using the bathroom, coughing or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Stay home if you are sick.

Ways to Boost Your Immune System

  • Get plenty of sleep.
  • Be physically active.
  • Drink plenty of fluids.
  • Eat nutritious foods.
