Winter sports are held near and dear at Stuart Hall. From striking on the pitch like Salah to hooping like Dwyane Wade to even elite pins like the Undertaker, it has been an elite season of sports.
Starting with basketball. Having a 1-9 record may seem alarming. But with a team composed of some elite freshmen, we are certain to return to the state championship soon like we did in the 2021-2022 season. We’re counting on you guys to be elite athletes and go for the gold. On the JV side, a 4-6 record. And on frosh-soph, a 1-5 record. Overall, there are some improvements in order, so get out there and get hooping, gentlemen of the Hall.
Soccer had an elite season. If we are counting both league and non-league competitions, we went 7-9-2. When we were competing against non-league teams we showed dominance. League teams, on the other hand, were tougher; we struggled in league competition, going 1-8-1. Great work with the season, varsity! JV boys, on the other hand, showed a tour de force of domination, going 3-1-1. Amazing work in dominating soccer this year JV.
Wrestling had a lethal season this year. Names like Monte Fields, Sawyer Mountain, Oliver ‘The Octagon’ Hershenhorn, and Leo ‘The Big Steppa from the Dungeon’ Mercado echoed throughout the halls. “I’m really excited for the future of the wrestling program and the underclassmen improving in the years,” said The Big Steppa. Good work on such an elite season.
Good work Stuart Hall Athletes; congratulations on an elite season.
